Patricia Caton Reardon, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Reardon earned an honors degree in Art/Biology from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and spent two years as a portrait artist before turning to science. She then completed a Masters of Science in Genetics at the University of Connecticut and did research in gene mapping, publishing numerous papers and book chapters for six years. She received her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut and did her internship in Internal Medicine at St Francis Hospital in Hartford and her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She is Board Certified.
Dr. Reardon has over 20 years experience in comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, with specialization in no stitch cataract surgery, laser surgery, diabetic eye care, glaucoma medical and surgical treatment, eye injury and inflammation, and cosmetic eye surgery. Dr. Reardon has 14 years experience (more than any other physician in Willimantic) with BOTOX for blepharospasm and headaches.
Dr. Reardon is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an elected member of the prestigious Sigma Xi honorary Scientific Research Society, and has membership in the American Medical Association, The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The Windham County Medical Society, The New England Ophthalmological Society, and The Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians, of which she was President from 1994 - 1996.
Dr. Reardon is a Lion, a Big Sister, and contributes to WAIM, the Soup Kitchen, and My Sister's Place. In her spare time she enjoys equestrian pursuits, ethnic cooking, sculpture, painting, flower and vegetable gardening, music and travel. She lives iwth her husband, Dr. Eugene Winchester, an emergency room physician at Windham Hospital.
Her daughter, Kellie Aileen Reardon, has been working in the marketing and IT fields for 15 years and lives in Baltimore, MD.
